Happy Ending

I suppose given that this time I wasn’t fasting or ‘in silence’ this experience was much closer to a retreat in the typical sense, but I soon re-remembered why I/we fill our lives with sensory pleasures – to distract. So when we take a journey within we find allot of cobwebs & initially it’s not always pleasant.
Truthfully I was seeking a solemn journey within. Intentional solitude & rest following a year sharing a tiny home/yacht with my lover & near drowning in our daily pool of necessary decisions. But as life has it’s ways, I was gifted a much more practical experience which was far more necessary to counter balance what has been quite a sedentary year. The 37 day ocean crossing chapter for example.

Up to 6 hours of yoga on the daily ‘healing schedule’ and a fistful of varying lectures, workshops & healing sessions available until 9pm each night; Inner Dance/Laughing, Connecting, Letting Go Meditation, TRE – Trauma Release,  Nadabrama Osho Meditation, Yoga for Lucid Dreaming, Death as a Practise, Buddhist Teachings, share circles, pit fire & my favourite.. the aromatherapy steam room.

And then there were these incredible Vegan Delights!

I’ll spare you the details of the coffee enemas & I simply can’t include any stories or photos of riding motor bikes, eating street food or diving/swimming at the islands beaches… because I did none of it! Arrived by plane, plane, ferry from Zach’s arms in Tunisia & there I stayed in the comforts of the tropical retreat centre until the moon turned full & it was time to make my next leg to the land down-under!

It was a pleasure to learn on location, that the Wonderland Healing Centre is literally based around a full-time community of 20 mindful souls & that the centre just 6 months old. What a joy to practise, to suffer & to re-birth the mindful self in such luxury.

Namaste.
